No. All costs are stated plainly on our website. We do not hide fees in fineprint, or in our terms of service pages. The only costs that are commonly found to occur beyond your expected flat monthly rates per service, are those due to increased disk space or bandwidth usage. Pricing for such is plainly stated on our website. Hosting By ACES will allow you to upgrade your packages to the next size up, should you see an increase in disk space levels or bandwidth usage for the current month, and not want to pay for such additional usage. Disk space usage and availablility, as well as estimated bandwidth usage, is available to you in the control panels included with the hosting packages.

All accounts will be IPless sharing your reseller account IP. You can order a block of IP's from our reseller addons page and provide IP-based accounts. The only real reason why someone would want to have a dedicated IP would be to use their own SSL certificate and to be able to use anonymous FTP. There are a few smaller side effects, an example of one of them would be that if someone which is on the same IP address and spams a search engine; it would get BOTH of your sites banned.

Hosting By ACES can host all international domains on its servers. Hosting By ACES can accept foreign clientele, just please be advised that all correspondance must be conducted in English. The reseller, or the end-user, is responsible for handling the registration process of foreign domain name(s). This must be pointed to nameservers on the Hosting By ACES network as assigned, or you can use other nameservers and route the domain name to the IP address you are assigned. Hosting By ACES cannot handle the foreign domain registration process for you, due to the fact that we do not speak all of the potential foreign languages that may be involved. Hosting By ACES will assist you however, with any technical information needed to accomplish this.

1. Log into telnet in your old host's servers, go to your public_html directory, and type in the following command:
tar cvfz filename.tar.gz * (This will create an archive of all files and directories branching off of this directory, inclusive. Tar will copy symbolic links, but not what they link too.)
2. Now login to SSH in your Hosting By ACES account and go to your public_html directory. Then type in the following command:
wget 123.45.67.89/yourdomain.tar.gz
where 123.45.67.89 is your old website's IP address.
3. Wait for the transfer to finish. Then type:
tar xvfz filename.tar.gz (This explodes the tarred file created above)
This can save you A LOT of FTP time, specially if you have a large website.

All SSH access must be done via our HelpDesk. This is tue for your reseller account and for all your clients' accounts. You must submit all account details and the reasons the client wants shell access.
All requests need to be logged for security purposes.

When an account goes over their quota, it automatically gets suspended, and an "account suspended" webpage is displayed instead of their website. Email will continue to function normally for the account. You can modify the "account suspended" webpage by going in your Web Host Manager and clicking the "modify suspended account page". The account will not be unsuspended, unless you do it manually in WHM (even if the customer deletes some files).

Symptom: changed my WHM theme and now I don't get all my options on the left hand side.
Solution: Log into WHM as you normally would. Once you're into WHM, in the 'address' bar on your browser, add the following after the :2087 or :2086, '/scripts/setmytheme' (no quotes) and hit enter. That will bring you to the place where you set your theme.
Select 'BLUE'.
Count to 10 slowly, then close your browser. (We don't know how long the script really takes to run, but it never ends so you need to close your browser window).
Log back into WHM and all should be good.
If you have any problems with these steps or do not feel comfortable performing any of these tasks, just open a helpdesk ticket and support staff will be happy to help you.

Merriam-Webster defines propagation as:
the act or action of propagating : as a : increase (as of a kind of organism) in numbers b : the spreading of something (as a belief) abroad or into new regions c : enlargement or extension (as of a crack) in a solid body
For our purposes, definition B is most appropriate. Quite literally, propagation is the time during which your DNS Zone information is spread abroad to servers that didn't know about it before.
Why does it take so long? There are various reasons, but some studies have suggested that there are literally millions of DNS Servers that need to be notified of the new information!
Propagation takes two forms, changes to your DNS Zone and changes to your WHOIS information. The WHOIS is the master record that tells every DNS Server in the world which is the authoritative server for your domain. A change to your WHOIS information (done my your domain registrar) can take up to 72 hours to propagate fully. A change to your DNS Zone information typically affects only a handful of servers, and so is done much more quickly.
